Use Codex to control Seedance: a shot-by-shot video recreation tutorial

Give Codex a reference video, have it break down the shots, write prompts and operate Xiaoyunque, then generate and revise shots with Seedance. Follow eight steps from browser setup to checking the final edit.

When you find a video you want to recreate, the tedious part is usually switching between apps: extracting frames, checking movement, uploading images, choosing settings and inspecting every second of the result.

This workflow lets Codex connect those steps. You choose the reference, provide assets and judge the result. Codex handles analysis and browser operations. Seedance inside Xiaoyunque generates the video. Here, “1:1” starts with matching shot order, framing, action and timing. Use your own people and products, and expect to refine the generated frames rather than copy a video perfectly with one instruction.
